Hitoshi Yamagami is a Japanese video game designer who works at Nintendo. Born in Daito, Osaka in 1966,[1] Yamagami is the head of Nintendo SPD Production Group 1, and best known for creating the concept behind the Panel de Pon series. Early in his career, Yamagami served in production roles, including as a debugger for Metroid II: Return of Samus. He is also credited under special thanks in Super Metroid.
