A normal Missile homes in on a Pirate Trooper, Echoes.

Homing Missiles are Missiles that, when locked onto an enemy, home in on them. Depending on the enemy, the Missile can wind around in the air before it strikes its target (Rundas is an example of this). Missiles only feature a homing ability in Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Metroid: Other M. Missiles cannot home in on enemies in Metroid Prime Hunters due to the lack of a lock-on feature. Super Missiles in Echoes and Ice Missiles in Corruption can use the homing feature as well.

The Wave Beam and the Annihilator in the Metroid Prime Trilogy are also both capable of homing in on enemies.
