The Hotel New Galaxy is a hotel seen briefly in The Shape of Happiness #9. Samus Aran and her pet, Mari Yoshimura #2 check into a room here to stay the night before Samus leaves for Zebes. Inside, Samus remarks that it has been a while since she has had a full Energy Tank (speaking about it like it is a source of nourishment or fuel), and that Bounty Hunting has been slow as of late.
A bellboy knocks on the door to give Samus a drink. Seconds later, it reveals itself as a Metroid in disguise and brandishes a knife. Mari Yoshimura sacrifices itself to stop the bellboy, who Samus kills. Mourning her pet, Samus swears vengeance on Mother Brain.
