How to draw Nintendo

How to Draw Nintendo Greatest Heroes & Villains is a sequel to How to Draw Nintendo Heroes and Villains, which featured no characters from the Metroid series. Unlike the previous book, the sequel is in full color and includes backgrounds.

Samus Aran is featured on pages 26 and 27, prominently based on artwork for Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

Back Cover Description[]

"Everyone knows that the Nintendo characters are fun to play, but did you know that they are also fun to draw? Now you can become a first-class Nintendo artist, just by following these step-by-step instructions. Before you know it, you'll be drawing Mario, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, Samus Aran and many more of your favorite characters. So get comfortable and grab a pencil and some paper, because you are about to take off on a whole new adventure."

Characters[]

While Boo and Dry Bones, characters from the Mario series, are featured on the back cover, they are absent from the book.

Trivia[]

  • Despite Samus' artwork inside the book being based on Echoes, the artwork depicting her on the cover of the book is actually from Metroid Prime Hunters. This may be a mistake on the author's part as the Varia Suit in both Echoes and Hunters have the same design.
  • Some of the background art is from Metroid.com's Metroid Prime page.[1]
