Unidentified Life Form 17 is a Phazon-based enemy encountered by Samus Aran in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Her first encounter occurs while on the Space Pirate Homeworld in the Command Station, as well as on Phaaze in Entry Canyon. It blocks her path at several points, and is slightly plant-like in structure. It has several large violet-colored Phazon crystals growing out of its main body, as well as a strange eye-like structure. It can only be destroyed by overloading it with Phazon using the Hyper Grapple. The crystals shatter, one after another, as it is overloaded.
