Ian Rooke is a Vancouver-based game designer, formerly of Next Level Games. He worked there from September 2014 to May 2015 on Metroid Prime: Blast Ball and Metroid Prime: Federation Force. He designed three of the game's missions; M17: Infestation, M19: Incursion and M22: Convergence. Rooke scripted these missions with a text-based scripting language[1] and designed these levels, all themed around infiltration, "with a mix of stealth, heavy combat, exploration, puzzles, and boss fights". His portfolio website features YouTube playthroughs of his missions.[2]
Before working at Next Level Games, Rooke worked at Piranha Games and Capcom Vancouver on games such as Duke Nukem Forever and Dead Rising 3. He is currently the senior game designer at Archiact, a Vancouver VR game development studio.
