In the Cockpit[1] is an arrangement of Theme of Samus introduced in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
Description[]
In Corruption, In the Cockpit plays inside the Hunter-Class Gunship. An extended version of the theme, featuring the heroic fanfare from Theme of Samus, can be heard aboard the G.F.S. Olympus when Samus Aran speaks with Aurora Unit 242 after obtaining the PED Suit; this version also plays in Skyway Access as Samus is preparing to escort twelve Demolition Troopers to the Pirate Homeworld Seed entrance.
This theme is one of the songs available for purchase from the game's Soundtrack Gallery. On the UK Corruption website, it is known as Track_1 in the music player.
It is remixed in Metroid: Samus Returns on the Samus Data Screen when a save file is loaded, and briefly at the end of the game during the Movie Ending track. On both occasions, the interior of the Gunship's cockpit is briefly shown. This version of the theme appears in the game's Overview Trailer. In the internal files, it is referred to as Select; in the Sound Test, it is titled Menu. It, along with the Theme of Samus, was used in a Nintendo España Twitter video in which fans gave their thoughts on the game.[2]
