Kanden[1] is a theme from Metroid Prime Hunters. It was composed by Lawrence Schwedler.
Description[]
As its title indicates, Kanden is heard while battling Kanden in Data Shrine 02 of the Celestial Archives during the game's Adventure Mode, as well as any subsequent random encounters with Kanden during the rest of the campaign. A faster variant is heard as part of the Gorea boss theme when Gorea uses the Volt Driver. It is also available as track 11 in the game's Music Test after defeating Gorea's second form.
Like all other Bounty Hunter boss themes in Hunters, Kanden opens with a tense stinger and carries a specific bass harmony (possibly the leitmotif for the Bounty Hunters) throughout the song. The melody is performed by a high-pitched synth instrument and is evocative of an electric guitar in a rock song, perhaps referencing Kanden's electricity-based weapon of choice.
