Kirei dark[1] is an ominous theme in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
It begins playing after Samus leaves the chamber in Xenoresearch B where she obtains the Seeker Missiles. To do so, she had to remove the Energy Cell in the same room, which was powering containment units holding Phazon Metroids in the previous lab rooms. This chilling theme begins playing after she leaves the chamber, accompanied by now darkened rooms. It continues to be heard as Samus makes her way out of the Xenoresearch Labs, encountering Phazon Metroids as she goes. The theme stops playing once she leaves the Labs. Should Samus return to the Labs for whatever reason after the Elysia Seed's destruction, the theme can still be heard despite the fact that no more Metroids are encountered in there.
