Koji Tazawa, or Kouji Tazawa is a Japanese manga author, and the author of the Metroid manga[1] originally published in Monthly Magazine Z. Tazawa is credited under special thanks in Metroid: Other M, which depicts flashbacks of some of Samus's life in the Galactic Federation Army either during or after the manga. It is possible that Tazawa's credit in the game is included to acknowledge his role in authoring the manga or beginning to define the backstory of Samus Aran, which the manga was the focus of and is further elaborated upon in Other M. In addition to Metroid, Tazawa authored Yukei Seikyo Kukla, another story also released in Monthly Magazine Z in 2002.
