Kraid'sMissileGun

Concept art of Kraid's Missile Gun

Kraid's Missile Gun is a Missile Launcher featured in Captain N: The Game Master.

Kraid is seen with his Missile Gun holstered in the episode Metroid Sweet Metroid. Duke plays dead in front of Kraid, who pokes him with a spear-like weapon. Kevin is able to lasso the distracted enemy and take the gun from its holster. Kevin and Duke then escape.

Kevin later uses the gun on a Protoplasm he encounters. After freezing it with an Ice Beam Item Sphere, he fires Missiles at the creature to destroy it. This is similar to the most effective tactic of killing a Metroid, which is also referred to as a "protoplasm" in the Metroid manual.

Trivia[]

  • Kraid's Missile Gun is only named in concept artwork. Since its original owner is never referred to by name in the TV series, this artwork confirms by proxy that the orange rhinoceros-like henchman is Kraid himself.
  • Although Kraid has never been shown using a Missile Gun (or any other weapon, for that matter) in the Metroid games, the Kraid animatronic in Nintendo Land fires missile-like Rockets during its battle. Kraid's stomach spikes are also referred to as "missiles" by The Official Nintendo Player's Guide.
