Kriken Empire

Trace, a member of the Kriken Empire.

The Kriken Empire is an advanced war-like civilization of the Kriken species with an Imperial structure. It is comprised of massive hives of soldiers, teeming with life. Not much is known about the Empire except that it is a major faction against the Space Pirates and the Galactic Federation.

According to Richard Vorodi, the Kriken are considered "interstellar cockroaches" who could wreak havoc if left unchecked. He indicated that they were a mutual enemy of the Federation and Pirates, and these two factions - normally portrayed as adversaries in the Metroid series - agree the Kriken should be exterminated, almost to the point of working together to make that a reality. However, this has yet to happen.

Space technology

Not much is known of their space technology, except that Trace owns a spacecraft, which is believed to be seen leaving the Oubliette like the rest of the Bounty Hunters.
