Lake Access

Lake Access is a room in the Sky Temple Grounds on Dark Aether. It appears in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It is a long, narrow, and rocky indoor tunnel that features patches of mutated Venom Weeds on the floor, a durable plantform, as well as objects composed of nutrient-grade biomatter. The Aether equivalent of this room is the Collapsed Tunnel. Unlike the latter, Samus travels primarily on foot through this room. There does not appear to be a visible Morph Ball tunnel situated within this room, though it is possible the tunnel caved in.

The presence of a plant container suggests that it was placed here for decoration, possibly by local sentients."

Trivia[]

The Morph Ball tunnel from its Light Aether counterpart is still present, albeit blocked off by walls of rock.
The door leading to the Plain of Dark Worship initially has a Green Hatch on this side of the room. This is highly unusual, because not only is this room only accessible through the Plain of Dark Worship, but also there is a Multi-Lock Blast Shield covering the side of the door leading to this room. This hints at a possible layout change during development.
