A Laser Barrier is a security system used for Doors. It emits four laser beams over a door to obstruct progress, and places three red nodes above the door. The nodes, and the lasers, are controlled by three Interface Modules that contain access codes. They must be scanned at close-range to disable each lock, and remove the lasers.
This system appears in the Phazon Site of the Dark Agon Wastes during Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Samus is required to navigate the room, exposed to the atmosphere of Dark Aether, to scan the modules. Each module is in a corner of the room. Samus must scan the locks at close-range; otherwise, local interference will block her Scan Visor. After all Modules have been scanned, the lasers will disappear, allowing Samus to continue to the Watering Hole.
