Lichen is a plant that appears in many areas of the Tallon Overworld in Metroid Prime, often covering entire surfaces in rooms. There are two variants of lichen that exist. The first is a blue-green plant appearing the most often, while the second grows on stone placed on a Half-pipe in the Tallon Canyon. This provides a hint that the half-pipe can be used (albeit not on the first visit) to find a path to the Space Jump Boots.
