Unidentified Life Form 19 is a small flying creature, which produces a white light, native to Dark Aether. It is "summoned" by the Mutated Emperor Ing to both provide a minor barrier and to also feed upon. They appear to be the opposite of the Dark Aetherian Nightbarbs that can also be summoned. They fly in swarms and will scatter if shot at, letting out a shriek.

The Chyklings from Dark Torvus Bog and the Fargul Wasps of Bryyo behave similarly to these creatures.

Trivia

  • In the official Metroid Prime 2: Echoes strategy guide, they are described as "white squiggly things".
  • These creatures drop an abnormally large amount of health and ammunition pickups.
