In the Pokémon games, Greninja can learn the move Hyper Beam via Technical Machines, though barring the same English name, it has little connection to either the [[Hyper Beam (Super Metroid)|weapon system]] from ''Super Metroid'' or the [[Hyper Beam (Metroid Prime 3: Corruption)|hypermode weapon]] from ''Metroid Prime 3: Corruption''. Coincidentally, however, the Generation IV rendition of Hyperbeam depicts a rainbow colored appearance to the beam similar to that of the Hyper Beam utilized in ''Super Metroid'', and the previous and later games depict it with an orange color resembling how said weapon was depicted in the flashback in the beginning of ''Metroid: Other M''.
