Landing Site[]
The Landing Site is the small cave in which Samus Aran crash-lands at the Temple Grounds of Aether because of the environmental storms of this world. It is the first room in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and the demo on the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Bonus Disc. The Landing Site is the first and last room seen in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The room's name is odd, considering it was not intended to be Samus' point of landing, nor does it seem optimised by the Luminoth for ships.
The room contains a variety of different height pillars, with glowing red crystals attached to them on differing sides. These were once apparently a means of energy conversion and distribution, but have since fallen in to disrepair due to lack of maintenance, and are now only decorative. However, one statue has a purple crystal, and will move from its position to serve as a platform to a higher area of the room, if hit by a shot of Light matter. The body of the Keybearer M-Dhe can be found here, on the ledge which connects to Service Access. In the Bonus Disc, the statue that can be used to get to Service Access does not work, and M-Dhe is missing. Also, the Blue Door leading to Service Access remains locked.

The room contains several devices dispensing pesticide, a pile of dead Splinters, many crates and a GF Gate Mk VI blocking the way to the next area. The air in the room is filled with pesticide, which was responsible for the death of said Splinters; however, thanks to her Oxygen Supply Equipment, it cannot harm Samus.
The area after the gate consists of a narrow hallway. It has a cargo pod blocking access to the final part, which can be opened with a nearby panel, and two piles of dead Splinters. The final part contains several crates, computer terminals that may be holoscreens, Luminoth Webbing shells, a Map Station, and a door leading to the Hive Tunnel.

Command Chamber[]
The Command Chamber is part of an underground base, built and created by Force Two of the GFMC Task Force Herakles in the Temple Grounds prior to the events of Metroid Prime 2 Echoes. They were stationed down below in the Splinter Hive, which was linked to a huge system of Splinter Hives. Many dead troopers can be seen here, some of whom reanimate into Dark Troopers. The room consists of three parts. The first part contains a converted cargo pod gate, which blocks access to the third part of the room, that is controlled by a terminal. However, it is initially knocked offline due to lack of power. GSGT C. Benet and SPC B. Reevs are found among the dead troopers in this section, and Samus can scan both of their bodies to obtain Trooper Logs.

Hive Chamber B[]
Hive Chamber B is a room in the Splinter Hive, a subarea of the Temple Grounds. It appears Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The room is similar to Hive Chamber A, in that it has an end connected to a narrow corridor, which can be sealed by a converted cargo pod gate. This gate malfunctioned whilst the Federation Troopers were on the north side of the gate in Hive Chamber C, sealing them inside and preventing them from escaping death by Splinter.
Although the connecting tunnel is sealed, a small ventilation tunnel curves around it and connects the two areas. Two massive Grenchler corpses reside on the southern side of the chamber, shot dead by Marines as they burst through the walls. Their bodies have been left to decompose, and were not disposed of.
A Portal once existed near the center of the room. This portal contained the room's dark world counterpart, the Portal Site.

Trooper Security Station[]
Upon first visit, Samus encounters a group of Splinters under fire from a Galactic Federation Turret. An Mk VII Defense Gate is found here, with a different scan than normal. It is not operational and must be lifted by scanning an Interface Module. It is too hidden behind a gate, but a nearby biostructure has been compromised and can be access via the Morph Ball. This chamber contains the body of SPC M. Angseth. When Samus activates the Interface Module, the gate will rise, but then shut again and again, forcing Samus to roll under it in Morph Ball form.
After doing so and reaching the nearby door, the Gate closes permanently. Samus will be unable to bypass it again until she has recovered her Power Bombs. The Screw Attack provides an alternative method to destroying the gate in the event Samus is out of Power Bomb ammunition or she wishes to conserve some.
The Dark Aether equivalent of this room was Reliquary Access.

GFMC Compound[]
A large number of dead marines from GFMC Task Force Herakles can be found here, killed by the Dark Splinters. In addition to the Tyr, there are also a large number of Federation supply crates here. A Kinetic Orb Cannon was set up here, possibly for combat. In the ship is a door blocking access to a Map Station.
Samus acquires a Missile Launcher in this room to replace the one stolen by the Ing. Upon its acquisition, Dark Splinters attack her. In addition, there is a Missile Expansion on top of the Tyr, which requires the Space Jump Boots to reach. After restoring the Light of Aether to the Torvus Bog, Samus returns to this room in order to reach the Sanctuary Fortress. During this room's second pass, Samus encounters a group of Space Pirate Troopers scouring the area for resources and information. Past this encounter, the only other common enemies in this room are War Wasps.

Transport to Sanctuary Fortress[]
Transport to Sanctuary Fortress is a room in the Temple Grounds. It appears in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It is a small enclosed room, which seems to be slightly caved in on one side. It looks technologically advanced, as most of the walls are made of metal, except for the caved in side. The metal on the walls is dark brown, making it look worn-down and old. There are several structures along the walls which look like Spider Ball Tracks, yet they are not usable, and are probably just for decoration. In the middle of this room is an elevator, which takes Samus to Sanctuary Fortress. Samus must scan an Interface Module to activate the transport.

When Samus enters the room, she must scan for a weak section in the wall and fire a missile at it. The missile won't destroy the wall, but it will weaken it. Then she must go to the part of the room that has an unactivated Kinetic Orb Cannon. If she looks around with the Scan Visor, she will find the switch that activates the cannon. The cannon will send her straight through the crumbling wall. Samus can then roll on the track to the door to the Elevator.

Windchamber Tunnel[]
The Windchamber Tunnel is a room in the Temple Grounds. It appears in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The room is very small, serving as a connection tunnel between two large and important rooms: Grand Windchamber and GFMC Compound. Samus must use her Morph Ball to access the inside of the tunnel in order to travel to the other side of the room, preferably using the Boost Ball for speedy travelling. The Morph Ball tunnel is very bumpy and is made up of some bio-organic cocoon. The tunnel is somewhat transparent, which allows daylight to light up the tunnel. However, nothing can be seen of the room outside.
The tunnel has no known equivalent in Dark Aether; both of its dark connecting rooms have their respective entrances blocked off by rocky terrain.

Grand Windchamber[]
The Grand Windchamber is a room in the Temple Grounds. It appears in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. A large open room with a large device near the center surrounded by a canyon. On one side, a glass shield is built inside part of the canyon overlooking the long drop below. Samus can only access this area after re-acquiring the Power Bomb due to both doors leading into the Grand Windchamber being Yellow Hatches. Upon first visit, Pirate Aerotroopers will be present atop the tall device's mast. It is unknown how much of this room's structural layout was built by Pirate forces.
This area features a puzzle involving the tall device hovering in the center. Samus must use a nearby Portal to enter this room's Dark counterpart and use the Spinner system there to turn System Control Rings below the large platform until they all face in a certain direction. Samus must then use the Seeker Missile to hit the targets on the rings simultaneously, thereby raising a pair of arms containing a Grapple Point each. Samus must then use the Spinners to turn the rings in the other direction and repeat the process. Samus must then return to Light Aether to find that a forcefield is down on the highest platform. Samus can now use a Kinetic Orb Cannon to reach the platform and achieve the Sunburst.
This room's Dark counterpart was the Ing Windchamber.

Windchamber Gateway[]
The Windchamber Gateway is a room in the Temple Grounds. It appears in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The Gateway is situated on cliffs in the Temple Grounds, with no guardrails to prevent a Terminal Fall. It consists of two cliffs situated apart from each other. The only way to cross the chasm is by using a Kinetic Orb Cannon, or later the Screw Attack. The entrance cliff (from the Path of Eyes) features the first Kinetic Orb Cannon and a number of supports to the left of it, connecting to the cliff walls behind Samus. Long, narrow ropes and large pipes also protrude from the cliff walls. The pipes show signs of damage, although their original purpose is unknown.
A massive satellite dish is present on both cliff walls to absorb the impact of Samus's launch. On the other side of the chasm, an Energy Tank is present on a platform that can be reached with the Grapple Beam. The door to the Grand Windchamber itself is blocked by a Yellow Hatch.
The Windchamber Gateway has no known equivalent in Dark Aether; both adjacent rooms leading to such have their respective entrances blocked off.

The Path of Eyes is a room in the Temple Grounds. It appears in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The Path of Eyes is a curving passage of stone and Luminoth architecture. It is first entered when passing through a Light Portal in the room's Dark Aether counterpart, the Abandoned Base.
Upon Samus' first entry, she witnesses a departing "Shrike" Class Assault Skiff that leaves behind two Pirate Troopers. Within a few seconds, black fog will come to possess them and transform them into Darklings. Samus may either let the Ing possess both or one of the troopers or kill them before the fog can possess any of them. If the latter is done, she must stand clear of the Ing floating around or they will attack her within range, inflicting serious damage until they eventually die from Aether's atmosphere. In front of her there is Red Eye Statue that must be shot with the Light Beam to make it move.
