Main Ventilation Shaft Section C

Main Ventilation Shaft Section C is part of a network of ventilation shafts on Deck Beta on the Frigate Orpheon in Metroid Prime that Samus travels through after the Parasite Queen battle in order to escape the vessel, and later is a room in the Tallon Overworld on Tallon IV. This section contains a swarm of Parasites that is most easily avoided using Morph Ball.

This room remains intact after the Orpheon crashes into the Tallon Overworld. Rock formations have broken through part of the shaft, and function to provide steps for Samus. The bottom of the shaft is flooded with water, and the huge rock at the bottom is blocking the door to Main Ventilation Shaft Section D. Access to that room is not possible after the crash. An Aqua Sac is visible beneath the glass floor, and the water contains a school of five Fish. There is a passage leading out of the water that contains some debris that must be circumnavigated using the Morph Ball.

Main Ventilation Shaft Section C is known internally as 08c_intro_ventshaft before the crash and 08c_under_intro_ventshaft after the crash.
- By examining the room, one may notice the version of the room after the crash is missing the door to Main Ventilation Shaft Section D.
The Crash-Ship-MAE theme plays in this room after the frigate crash.
