Mapstation[1] is an ambient theme in Metroid Dread, composed by Soshi Abe, Sayako Doi, or both. As the name implies, it plays in each Map Station.
The theme consists of soft vocals along with otherworldly synth effects. Together, these create a calm atmosphere for Samus Aran to inspect newly downloaded portions of her Map. The melody of Mapstation is very similar to that of Desolation from Metroid Prime Hunters; it is unknown whether the former composition was inspired by the latter.
