Metroid Buster is a flash wallpaper minigame offered through the Japanese Metroid Zero Mission Official Site. It is only compatible with Windows and Internet Explorer, and requires an internet connection, unless an offline version of it is downloaded. It appears to be a point and click shooter, with the goal of shooting enough Metroids in a time limit set by the player's computer clock. The instruction sheet for Metroid Buster informs the player that it may be temporarily unavailable due to server problems, and that when the site is taken down, the game will be terminated. While the site is still operational as of December 2018, it is unknown if the game is playable.
