Metroid Dread - Accolades Trailer is the official accolades trailer for Metroid Dread. It was uploaded to Nintendo's YouTube channel, and in a tweet[1], on October 8, 2021, the release date of the game.

The trailer can be viewed here.

Description[]

The trailer begins by showing Samus Aran waking up without her upgrades in Artaria's entrance, before showing her in the Funnel, her first encounters with E.M.M.I.-02SM and 04SB, and her eye widening right before she is ambushed by E.M.M.I.-06WB. Interspliced with these clips are excerpts of reviews from Shacknews, GameXplain and Game Informer. After a clip of E.M.M.I.-01P's appearance, review scores from Game Informer, IGN (both 9/10) and Destructoid (8.5/10) appear on-screen in red font. Throughout this part, E.M.M.I. Zone ambiance plays.

After this, the scene of Samus's Gunship approaching ZDR plays, with her Suit Voice counting down. A sequence of clips ensues, including Samus getting the Omega Cannon, Raven Beak firing at Samus, escaping E.M.M.I.-02SM, the battle with Corpius, using the Dash Melee against a Muzby, Obsydomithon and Autclast, entering the first Central Unit's room, aiming at Elun security checkpoints, Samus glaring and dodging Kraid's attack before he roars in her face.

After this, Samus's visor flashes on-screen, before the camera zooms out to show the game's key art, with "Available Now" in the bottom right. The Emmy Chase theme plays during the gameplay in this segment. This segment was designed by Adam Barenblat, who also created the First Look trailer for Metroid Prime 4.[2]
