Metroid Fusion Arranged Version (メトロイドフュージョン アレンジバージョン) is the first track featured on the Metroid Fusion disk of the Metroid Prime & Fusion Original Soundtracks, consisting as a medley of arranged themes from Metroid Fusion. The medley was composed and arranged by Shinji Hosoe.[1]
The medley features the themes Sector 1, Sector 2 (TRO) Tropic Area, VS. Zazabi, Barrier Core-X, and Sector 4 (AQA) Aquatic Control Level Area. It uses higher-fidelity synthesized orchestral and electronic instruments than the Game Boy Advance hardware could produce. Playing up the horror and terror aspects of the Fusion soundtrack, this arrangement combines its dark and brooding melodies with shrill high-pitched strings to increase tension.
