Metroid Prime Remastered - Accolades Trailer is the official accolades trailer for Metroid Prime Remastered. It was uploaded to Nintendo of America's YouTube channel on March 3, 2023, and also shared on Twitter[1] and Instagram[2].
The trailer can be viewed here.
Synopsis[]
The Accolades Trailer is 30 seconds long. Its music combines the beat of Flaahgra (without the percussion) and choir of Hive Mecha Battle, as gameplay clips flash in between review scores. As the Hive Mecha Battle theme increases in tempo, the music changes to Metroid Prime Credits, before ending with Metroid Prime Theme.
Gameplay clips depict the waterfalls in the Tallon Canyon, Samus Aran examining her surroundings atop her Gunship, the Phazon crates in the Frigate Crash Site, Samus approaching the Omega Pirate, Metroid BR5497 in its Xenome Containment Unit and breaking out of it, the first Elite Pirate breaking out of its Cryosleep Tank, and Samus glaring. As the music changes, more gameplay is shown, including Samus crouched in the Exterior Docking Hangar, evading the Magmoor in Transport Tunnel B, approaching BR5497, jumping over the Omega Pirate's Wave Quake, Meta Ridley's shadow flying over the Phendrana Shorelines, and Samus's first confrontation with him in Biotech Research Area 2.
Review scores and quotes are displayed between the clips. These include perfect 10/10 or 5/5 scores from IGN, Twinfinite.net, ScreenRant, We Got This Covered and Prima Games. The trailer ends by showing the Title Screen, with "Available Now" under it. Quotes in praise of the game from We Got This Covered, Twinfinite.net, ScreenRant and Nintendo World Report are also displayed onscreen.
European version[]
A 15 second version was also uploaded to the Nintendo of Europe and UK channels, titled Metroid Prime Remastered - Accolades (Nintendo Switch). Only the Planet Tallon IV theme plays throughout the trailer, which displays the game's logo against a detailed background first. 10/10 or 5/5 scores from Metro, Nintendo Life, God is a Geek, GAMINGbible, Pocket Tactics and Dexerto are displayed. Gameplay clips include Samus crouching on the Exterior Docking Hangar, firing at Meta Ridley above her, entering an Elevator room, using the Spider Ball to climb a magnetic rail system track in the Sun Tower, and an Elite Pirate breaking out of its tank. The trailer ends with a display of the game's key art and logo, the Nintendo eShop logo, and a message saying "Available Now".
