MPT UK trailer game interface

The "Metroid Prime Trilogy UK microsite trailers" are two trailers that were released exclusively on the United Kingdom microsite for Metroid Prime Trilogy[1], which is no longer available.

"I am a bounty hunter" trailer[]

The first trailer begins with a trail of light that flows down into a machine, before expanding into a beam. This is then revealed to be the exit port of Samus Aran's Gunship, from which she (as a still image) slowly exits. The camera pans to her Arm Cannon and left leg as she rises, before she appears on-screen with her Visor, chest and shoulders brightly lit against her silhouette. The image here is based on a render which is used on the cover of the Metroid Prime & Fusion Original Soundtracks. Next, the camera focuses on Samus's visor before flashing into it, and then the Heads-Up Display appears on-screen.

The words "Memory data base_" (flashing underscore) appear, along with three icons indicating different types of research: a mosaic ("random research"), a ring with sharp points ("target research") and a Targeting Reticule ("structure research"). The latter is selected, causing the logos of the three games in the Trilogy - Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - to appear in the middle of the screen.

After this, footage from each game plays, beginning with Samus jumping off of her ship onto the Frigate Orpheon (in Prime). Interspersed with the footage is a written monologue from Samus, transcribed below. As she stands up, a Tallon Metroid can be heard screeching, with a portion of the Elite Quarters theme music playing. This quickly changes to Metroid Prime Battle, which plays for the rest of the trailer with some breaks. The following clips include Pirate Troopers arriving at Mining Station A (in Echoes), the battle with Meta Ridley on the Artifact Temple, the bottom of the Phazon Processing Center (both in Prime), the first encounter with the Ing and Dark Samus in the Portal Site, the first battle with Dark Samus (in Echoes), Samus being surcharged with Phazon in the Bryyo Seed (in Corruption), battling the Omega Pirate, Fission Metroids, Metroid Prime and a Pirate Trooper (in Prime), then Mogenar, a Hyper Grapple blocker, a Pirate Aerotrooper performing a suicide strike and the battle with Dark Samus (in Corruption), Amorbis (in Echoes), Meta Ridley trapping Samus in a vent on Norion and destroying Phazon vines in Cavern Beta Access, and the death of the Bryyo Phazon Core (in Corruption).

The trailer ends with the logos of all three games on-screen, before they change to that of the Metroid Prime Trilogy Collector's Edition.

Samus monologue[]

The darkness of space is my cover

I am a bounty hunter

My name is Samus Aran

I stalk old enemies...

...Waging war on the past

But nothing prepared me for this adversary

The greatest evil I have ever encountered

Myself

I must control my power

To wage war against corruption

—Samus Aran

MPT UK trailer Wiimote and Nunchuk

The player holding a Wii Remote and Nunchuk.

Unlike the other trailer, this one begins with the Wii logo and chime. It is also shorter. The trailer also starts with Samus landing on the Frigate Orpheon. A pair of hands holding a Wii Remote and Nunchuk demonstrate the new control scheme as Samus enters the Orpheon, battles Meta Ridley (in Prime), and uses the Spring Ball to enter the Bomb Slot in the Command Chamber, then as Dark Troopers reanimate and attack Samus, the first fight with Dark Samus (in Echoes), using a security lever and fighting Crawltanks, Warp Hounds and the first Berserker Lord (in Corruption). Between each clip is text saying "More control, more precision, more immersion, more Metroid". Music used in this trailer includes Metroid Prime Battle, Dark Trooper, G-Heya and Berserker Lord. It ends the same way as the other trailer.
