As part of the marketing campaign promoting Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion, the Metroid lanyard was worn by Nintendo representatives. It is a 7 1/2 x 12 1/2 card, meant to be attached to a lanyard. The double-sided card depicts artwork of Samus Aran in Metroid Prime (in which she is charging forward) or Metroid Fusion (crouching on the ground). The words "ASK ME ABOUT" are featured above Samus on both sides, in orange (Prime) and blue (Fusion). The Prime Samus appears to be against Tallon IV in the background, while the Fusion Samus is before the Biologic Space Laboratories research station in space. The Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance logos are placed under Samus for the respective sides. The Nintendo logo is also present on the bottom right of the Fusion side, while the Nintendo trademarks are under the GameCube logo on the Prime side.
Zoid Kirsch has one of these in his Prime memorabilia collection.[1]
