The Milky Way Galaxy,[1] commonly referred to as "the Galaxy," is where most of the Metroid games take place.
Description[]
It is a barred spiral galaxy that is part of the Local Group, a group of galaxies of the Virgo Supercluster in the Universe, and is inhabited by numerous life-forms; some sentient, others not. Most of the Galaxy is operated by the Galactic Federation. The Galaxy is approximately 120,000 light-years in diameter, containing about from 200 to 400 billion stars.
