Moth Temple After Luminoth[1] is a theme in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It was composed by Kenji Yamamoto.

Description[]

Moth Temple After Luminoth is the main theme of the Great Temple. As its name implies, it starts playing in the Great Temple after speaking with U-Mos for the first time (during which The Luminoth plays). It is not available in the Soundtrack Gallery.

The theme consists of low and high choirs, with wind-like effects and desert-evocative rattling percussion, as well as an electric "shifting" sound present in other themes in Echoes. The low male choir chants steadily throughout the song, while the higher choir sings an uplifting melody, some of which is expanded upon from the introduction to Luminoth Temple.

Part of the melody of Moth Temple After Luminoth is notably similar to the Surface theme from Metroid II: Return of Samus. With Echoes being the second game in the Prime series, this may have been a deliberate arrangement, although this is unconfirmed.

It can be heard here: [1]
