Moth Temple Intro[1] is an ambient theme in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It is a version of the general Luminoth Temple theme that omits most of the orchestral instruments and choir in favor of light percussion and atmospheric effects.

It plays in the first couple of rooms in the Temple Grounds after Samus leaves the Splinter Hive, as well as more rural rooms in the grounds. These rooms are the Industrial Site, Temple Assembly Site, Trooper Security Station, GFMC Compound, Collapsed Tunnel, Transport to Agon Wastes, Agon Transport Access, Sacred Bridge and Sacred Path. Many of these rooms contain the bodies and equipment left behind by the fallen GFMC Task Force Herakles.

The theme is meant to build up to Moth Temple Reveal Intro,[1] a flourish heard when entering the Temple Assembly Site, which introduces the wider Temple Grounds, for the first time. The flourish features the same techno and wind instruments as other themes in the game, and includes a deep choir singing a variation of The Luminoth's melody.

Both themes were composed by Kenji Yamamoto. Their names refer to the internal name of the Luminoth, "moth", itself a reference to their moth-like physiology.

Moth Temple Intro can be heard here, and Moth Temple Reveal Intro here.
