Nav point in MOM

Metroid: Other M

A nav point, also known as a Target location[1], is a feature on the Map in more linear and objective-based Metroid games, such as Metroid Fusion, Metroid: Other M and Metroid Prime: Federation Force. When a new objective has been assigned, a small, often flashing blip will appear over a room on the Map, pointing Samus Aran or the Federation Force to the said objective so it can be completed. This is not to be confused with the Bookmark or Map Pin that Samus can voluntarily place on her maps in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Metroid: Samus Returns and Metroid Dread.

Other games, such as Metroid: Zero Mission, Metroid: Samus Returns and the core Metroid Prime series feature a Hint system, either messages generated by Samus's Power Suit, or by accessing a Chozo Statue or Seal. These optional systems provide nav points as well to points of interest, power-ups, or Metroids.
