Navigation Room (ナビゲーションルーム)[1] is a theme in Metroid Fusion.
Description[]
The Navigation Room theme is heard in rooms of the same name throughout the Biologic Space Laboratories research station. It is also heard in Data and Security Rooms and the Pump Control Unit, albeit with the soft higher-pitched ambience removed. It does not necessarily play every time Samus is inside a Navigation Room; when using a Navigation Room the first time she enters a sector; whatever theme was playing before will often still play there.
Navigation Room is a short, repeating theme resembling the sound of a computer humming, with beeping sound effects at regular intervals. The beeps are arranged similarly to Silence from the original Metroid. In comparison to most of the other, more tense themes in the game, this one evokes a feeling of calm, as Navigation Rooms are safe places where Samus can link up to her ship's computer.
In Metroid Dread, Navigation Room was remixed as Accesspoint.[2] It now plays in the Network Stations, which function similarly to the Navigation Rooms from Fusion. The original beeping sounds are much quieter beneath the ambience, but still present. There is also the addition of more electronic sounds and beeping to add to the atmosphere.
