The Nintendo Switch 2 is an upcoming video game console developed by Nintendo, and the company's eighth major home console. The console is planned to release on June 5, 2025.
Games from Nintendo Switch that are Backwards Compatible onto Switch 2. Note that Metroid Prime Remastered is included on the right.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will launch on the Switch 2 with a "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition", enabling support for mouse aiming, as well as support for HDR visuals, and either 4K resolution or 120 FPS display (though both cannot be enabled simultaneously). Additionally, the Switch 2's backwards compatibility with the Nintendo Switch will presumably allow it to play all titles present on the previous console, including Metroid Prime Remastered.[1][2]
