Nintendo Today! is a Nintendo-themed calendar app for smartphones which gives direct news updates about various Nintendo properties, as well as reminders for Nintendo events. Upon installing the app, the user is prompted to choose one or more "favorite game series" from a list including Metroid, Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and other Nintendo franchises. Short-form content relating to the user's choice(s) is then unlocked on a daily basis, with a semi-random selection of content made available each day.
