Overgrown Ruins is a room in Bryyo Thorn Jungle on Bryyo. It appears in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
Description[]
The room is a corridor with two possible paths: one leads to the Jousting Field and the Korakk Beast while the other leads to an Energy Tank in the Vault. There is a force field blocking the path to Jousting Field, and many segments of the walls are covered in Crystallized Fuel Gel. Samus can destroy them with a Missile or her Charge Beam. One of them leads to a secret chamber that shows the Ancient Courtyard and has a security lever that Samus must use to cut off the shield's energy. Directly across from the secret chamber's tunnel, there is a statue that resembles a cobra.
When Samus first enters the room, a cutscene will show an Armored Pirate Trooper entering Hypermode, presumably as a tutorial that teaches the player that enemies can enter Hypermode as well.
