The Particle Cannon is a beam weapon utilized by all Pirate Aerotroopers in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. The devices fire blue-colored beams, not dissimilar to the Hyper Beam, and are affixed to one of the Aerotrooper's Remote Attack Pods. They use it more often than their Gel Bomb Racks.
Gandrayda wields a variation of the Particle Cannon in her Aerotrooper-G form: the beam is now purple and electrifies Samus. This is using her natural electrical abilities, which are later granted to Samus in the form of the Grapple Voltage.
