Phazon Grounds are a room in the Sky Temple Grounds. They appear in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

Description[]

The grounds are quite large, and feature several large patches of Phazon, two Space Pirate corpses, two Dormant Ingclaws and Dark Tallon Metroids, one of which is carrying a deceased Pirate Commando that will drop if the Metroid is shot. Scanning the two corpses reveals that one of the two Pirates had been drained of its life by a Metroid but still had all of its ammunition, indicating that it was killed by a sneak attack. Scanning the other body on the ground shows that its ammo is gone: the scan says that this one "didn't go quietly."

The Aether version of this room is the GFMC Compound.

Inhabitants[]

7 Dark Tallon Metroids
"Morphology: Dark Tallon Metroid
Darkling-possessed energy parasite.
Symbiote makes target stronger in battle. Vulnerable to concussive blasts. Dislikes bright light."
1 Pirate Commando (dead; carried by a Dark Tallon Metroid)
"Morphology: Pirate Commando
Elite Space Pirate shocktrooper.
Well-armed and armored, dangerous at any range. Limited-use shield repels most attacks."

Items[]

Missile Expansion
This can be found by Screw Attacking over to a ledge far away or using the Dark Visor to see two invisible floating platforms in the gap.

Scans[]

Phazon
"Element: Phazon
Volatile ore with biomutagenic properties.
Origin point of Phazon unknown. First detection of element on planet Tallon IV. Used by Space Pirates to produce vast levels of energy."
Dormant Ingclaw
"Morphology: Dormant Ingclaw
Hibernating impervious darkling.
Target encased in impervious shell. Currently in hibernetic stasis."

Target has been drained of all bioenergy by a Metroid. Target's weapon systems are full. Apparently, the Metroid that killed it caught it by surprise; it didn't have time to fire a shot in defense."
Dead Pirate Commando 2
"Bioscan complete.
Target has been dead for less than a cycle.
Target has been drained of all bioenergy by a Metroid. Target's weapon systems are empty; it didn't go peacefully."
