Planet Tallon IV (惑星ターロンIV)[1] is the first theme of the Tallon Overworld in Metroid Prime. It was composed by Kenji Yamamoto.

When Samus Aran first arrives on Tallon IV, this theme plays throughout the Tallon Overworld. As the game progresses, Planet Tallon IV is replaced by a more melancholy theme upon the acquisition of the Spider Ball upgrade.
It is also available in the Soundtrack Gallery of New Play Control! Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Metroid Prime Remastered, which give the song the title Tallon Overworld. Remastered represents the song with an image of the Landing Site.
Planet Tallon IV is an arrangement of the famous Brinstar theme from the original Metroid. Rather than an upbeat march, this version is slow and serene as it is performed softly by orchestra and choir, and this arrangement takes numerous liberties with the original melody while remaining in the same key. Planet Tallon IV is blissful and whimsical, evocative of the seemingly lush and verdant paradise of the Tallon Overworld.
The song is set in the genre of ambient music. It is played in the keys of G Mixolydian, Tonicized C, F Mixolydian and Bb Mixolydian. The Time Signature is a Duple Meter with Duple Subdivisions.
In addition to being an arrangement of Brinstar, Tallon IV also receives its own upbeat remix for the Record of Samus theme that plays on the Mission Final screen at the end of Prime and several subsequent games. Another remix is featured in Regulator mode of Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt, which is upbeat in a similar fashion to Record of Samus.
First Hunt also features another Tallon IV arrangement on the Ancient Vestige multiplayer map. This version is sung by a low choir in similar fashion to the later Alinos Gateway multiplayer theme from Metroid Prime Hunters, and the addition of percussion and electric guitars makes it sound darker and more aggressive than the original theme from Metroid Prime.
A portion of the original version of Planet Tallon IV was used in the trailer for Metroid Prime Remastered, before cutting to Phendrana Battle during the scene where Samus lands on the planet.
