The Processor Core is a room on Alinos. It appears in Metroid Prime Hunters.
Description[]
This is one of the last rooms Samus enters on Alinos. It has two lava processors located at opposite ends of the room. One is incomplete, however, and lacks the elevator-like piston that fills the other, completed processor; instead, it is completely hollow and lacks a portion of its wall, allowing Samus to enter the incomplete processor and return to its top via the Jump Pad located at its bottom. A catwalk in the center allows Samus to jump into the completed processor, and, as soon as its center has fully descended, she can enter the Morph Ball tunnel in the processor's wall at the bottom.
Connecting rooms[]
- Council Chamber (via Blue Door)
- Piston Cave (via two Blue Doors)
- Stronghold Void (via Stronghold Portal)
Inhabitants[]
- Guardians and/or a Bounty Hunter
Items[]
- Universal Ammunition Expansion
- It is located at the top of the room behind a pipe.
Scans[]
- Lava Processor 01
- "UTILIZES OROGENIC ACTIVITY FOR TREATMENT AND PROCESSING OF IGNEOUS MATERIAL."
- Lava Processor 02
- "OPERATING AT MINIMUM CAPACITY."
- Stronghold Portal
- "THREE ARTIFACTS ARE NECESSARY TO RESTORE FUNCTIONALITY."
Multiplayer[]
The Processor Core is a playable map in the game's multiplayer mode, with slight differences from its appearance in single-player. The Lava Processors can be entered, and have Jump Pads at their base, which Bounty Hunters can use to reach the top. The Death-Alt upgrade can be found here during matches with four players, and other power-ups that can be collected include the Judicator, Magmaul, Double Damage, Universal Ammo and yellow Energy Capsules. Trace has an advantage here, as his red color allows him to blend into the environment.
When firing a charged missile, Magmaul, or Battlehammer shot at the ground while walking backward into an Alt-Form tunnel at the top, the hunter is able to walk small distances until being stopped by another spot to use explosive-launching. With Weavel, it is possible to get out of the tunnel by entering his Halfturret. When in this Secret World, it is possible to hit the Jump Pad that is in the actual level, but not the walls.
