RB133 Auricrusher

The RB133 Auricrusher is a robotic enemy in Metroid Prime: Federation Force.

Description[]

The RB133 Auricrusher's only appearance is in M18: Hightower, where numerous units will spawn to destroy the Drill the Federation Force is protecting. As it approaches the Drill, its own drill will activate and the machine will continue to the base of the Federation Drill. The machine moves very slowly however, so it can be destroyed before it even reaches the Drill.

They are similar in name and appearance to the RB176 Ferrocrusher, a power loader fought as a boss in Metroid: Other M. Both of their names may also refer to ferrum and aurum, the Latin words for iron and gold. This could suggest they are related in some way, perhaps being made by the same manufacturer. However, the RB133 Auricrusher is deployed by Space Pirates while the RB176 Ferrocrusher is used by the Galactic Federation, which could suggest that the RB133 was stolen by the pirates.
