Record of Samus (レコード・オブ・サムス ),[1] also known as Victory[2] or Samus's Record,[3] is the theme that plays on the Mission Final screen in the Metroid Prime series and Metroid: Samus Returns.
Description[]
It is an upbeat and celebratory remix of Planet Tallon IV, which in turn was an arrangement of the famous Brinstar theme from the original Metroid. The version in the core three Prime games is the same, while the other games feature remixes.
The Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Bonus Disc has a more uplifting variant for when the demo of Echoes is complete. In the full game, the version of Record of Samus from Prime additionally plays on the multiplayer mode's Result Screen.
In Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt, Regulator mode features an upbeat arrangement of Planet Tallon IV that is very similar to Record of Samus.
In Hunters, Record of Samus is track 03 in the Music Test, and referred to as Results in the game's BGMSELECTLIST.DAT file. As with Echoes, this version with compressed audio also plays on the Multiplayer Results Screen.
Record of Samus is used in the E3 2007 trailer for Corruption, played over in-game music and sound effects.[4] It is also included in the Soundtrack Gallery of Metroid Prime Remastered.
The Samus Returns version, titled End Results[5][6] or Matad Result,[7] was first featured in the Overview Trailer as the narrator discusses the game's amiibo functionality. It later played in the Weapons Trailer. As with the Prime games, it plays on the ending screen. This is the first non-Metroid Prime game to include the theme. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, End Results can be played on any Metroid stage.
