Red Barbed War Wasps are a breed of Barbed War Wasps that have adapted to thrive in Alinos's volcanic environment, appearing in Metroid Prime Hunters. They are distinguished from their relatives by their orange-colored bodies, in spite of their name. The Red Barbed War Wasp's most unique quality is its ability to fire burning projectiles at perceived enemies by channeling its body heat into its stinger.
