Red Phazite is a rare form of Phazite. It may or may not have a connection with the Red Phazon found in the Impact Crater. It can not be pierced by using the Nova Beam in conjunction with the X-Ray Visor unlike normal Phazite.
Pirate Commanders wear Red Phazite armor. They are the only type of Space Pirates that are allowed to do. Seeing as how Red Phazite is rarely seen in-game and Commanders not exactly being the most abundant enemy, it is possible this type Phazite is extremely hard to come by, and forging it perhaps even more difficult.
It is interesting to note that Omega Ridley never forged this type of Phazite for himself.
