Redenki[1] are a species of aquatic swarming creatures seen in Burenia.
Description[]
Redenki resemble tadpoles, with luminescent stripes along their bodies. During their swimming motion, they sometimes flatten their bodies, extending fins to the sides for a brief burst of speed. Since Redenki are only seen underwater, their coloration is difficult to observe- however, viewing the game's texture files, they can be seen to have red bodies and green luminescent patches. They are exclusively found in swarms, and upon detecting Samus, will pause to orient themselves at her before surging forward in a direct line.
A similar flying species, the Yojimbee, is found in Ferenia and Hanubia.
After the X Parasites are released from quarantine in Elun, Redenki are infected by tiny X Parasites, but their appearance and behavior are unchanged.
