Reinforced Plating is a MOD in Metroid Prime: Federation Force. It will reduce the damage a Mech takes from contact with enemies, attacks or other hazards by 20%, 30%, or 50%. This is similar to the levels of damage protection that Samus Aran's Suits provide her when acquired in traditional Metroid games. This MOD's protections do not apply to AI Combat Drones. It can be equipped with the Null Plating MOD, which increases the chance that the Federation Force will take no damage from an attack, to maximize the shielding of Mechs and make missions easier.
