The Remorse-Class Turret is a turret used by the Space Pirates in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It is enhanced by Phazon, but has a red color-scheme. The turret, which replaces the outdated "Humility" Class design, is physically weak and susceptible to weapons fire. They are found on Bryyo, Eastern SkyTown, Elysia, and the Pirate Homeworld. The Despair-Class Turret, only known as such in the PAL version of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and in Metroid Prime Trilogy, is an updated version of this turret, and the ultimate model made by the Pirates.
Agile opponents can easily outrun the Remorse-Class Turret's targeting system.

Logbook entry[]
Remorse-Class Turret
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Mechanism: "Remorse" Class Turret
Space Pirate shielded defense system.
Susceptible to missile attacks.
Fast targets can evade the limited targeting system of the "Remorse" turret. The Space Pirates have replaced their dated "Humility" turrets with a new unit designed by top engineers. Powered by Phazon, the "Remorse" unit is capable of withstanding more damage than the earlier model.
Trivia[]
- In the 2006 prototype of Corruption, Remorse-Class turrets had a drastically different appearance, with a lengthy barrel and gelatinous protrusions from the back end. Though this design was replaced, it still appears on terminal screens in Metroid Processing in the final game.
- The turrets also had a slightly different scan entry in the prototype; rather than stating that they were designed by the Space Pirates' "top engineers", they were instead stated to have been designed by "their leader", presumably referring to Dark Samus.
