Varia Suit Samus on Norion. Note the Phazon aura surrounding her.
The Reverse Corruption glitch is a glitch in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It is currently unknown if this glitch can be performed in Metroid Prime Trilogy. This glitch was performed on a NTSC-U Wii Disc.
Description[]
The glitch primarily entails skipping the Grapple Lasso using Secret Worlds. If the Grapple Lasso is obtained any time after acquiring the PED Suit, Samus will revert back to her Varia Suit after the acquisition cutscene. Samus will still be able to safely regenerate her energy by standing in concentrated Phazon, but the biohazard scanner in her Gunship will detect no corruption. The PED Suit's Morph Ball may still appear in cutscenes involving the Morph Ball (such as before the Omega Ridley battle), with the appropriate corruption level. This is similar to what happens if the Dark Suit in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is skipped.
If the glitch is performed after the PED Suit acquisition, Samus will still have access to Hypermode, and the Varia Suit will be surrounded by a blue aura when in that state. The Inventory will no longer list the PED Suit, indicated by ?????. If the Hazard Shield is obtained after this glitch has been performed, Samus will revert to her PED Suit at 10% corruption (the state she will normally be in after she wakes from her coma). Due to gameplay purposes, Samus will still heal from Concentrated Phazon pools. Defeating any of the three Leviathan bosses will immediately revert Samus back to the intended PED Suit corruption level state, reversing/fixing the glitch.
It is possible to traverse Phaaze with the Varia Suit. Permanent Hypermode was likely never programmed for use with the Varia Suit, as Anti-Phazon Units may not work, and expelling energy via the Hyper Grapple does not appear to work either.
