Ryoji Yoshitomi (吉冨 亮二 Yoshitomi Ryoji ), also credited as Ryohji Yoshitomi, is a sound programmer and composer for Nintendo. In the 1990s, Yoshitomi worked in the R&D1 department on the music and sound effects composition for several Game Boy games, including Metroid II: Return of Samus. He was also credited in Super Metroid under special thanks, in the extended credit roll. Yoshitomi is now a sound supervisor at Nintendo with heavy involvement in the Mario series, and was credited as the original composer of the music in Metroid: Samus Returns, a 2017 remake of Metroid II.
