Samus Aran is the main protagonist of the Metroid games. She is a bounty hunter, and is famous for her orange-red Power Suit.

Bio

Samus was born on Earth Colony K2-L, and was rescued by the Chozo when Space Pirates attacked the colony. They infused her with their blood, and they made the Power Suit for her. During her time with the Chozo, Samus learned their religion and made many pictures of her with them, as seen in Metroid: Zero Mission when she left their homeplanet, Zebes, the Space Pirates attacked it and eliminated the Chozo.

Samus was summoned by the Galactic Federation to go to Zebes and destroy the Space Pirate's biological computer, Mother Brain, and destroy their leader, Ridley. Samus did these things, and found out of the Metroids in the process.

Later, our heroine was sent to SR-388 to exterminate the remaining Metroids. She did so, but an Infant Metroid came to know Samus as its mother, and therefore Samus had to take care of it (although she gave it to the Galactic Federation). After the learned the Metroid hatchling was stolen from Federation HQ by the Space Pirates, she went back to Zebes and defeated the new Mother Brain only to see the infant Metroid die in the process.

Afterwards Samus was sent to investigate a Space Pirate space station on which the pirates were studying phazon, a poisonous material. She destroyed the station and went to Tallon IV in pursuit of Meta Ridley. There she found that the planet had been damaged by phazon when a meteorite crash-landed on it, and soon defeated Ridley and destroyed the Metroid Prime. Samus's adventures were not over however. After a short rest, she was once again asked by the Galactic Federation to locate Galactic Federation troopers on Aether. There she encountered The Metroid Prime once again, in the form of Dark Samus, and also defeated the Ing, saving Aether and the Luminoth.

Afterwards, Samus was sent, no doubt becuase of her superiority of the troopers, to SR-388 to collect alien studies for the Biological Space Laboratories. Another disaster happened: becuase of the lack of Metroids, the X had spread, and Samus was infected by one. She barely survived; being saved by the blood sample of the infant Metroid she had mothered a long time ago. She was then sent to a BSL Space Station to find out what had caused the explosion in the Quarantine Bay. There she learned of the SA-X, and once again forged contact with Adam Malkovich, her old CO. What happened after Metroid Fusion remains a mystery, but a new game, Metroid Prime Hunters, is set to be a sequel to it.
