A Sclawk[1] (スクローク)[2] is a species of snake or worm-like creatures found in Cataris on ZDR.
Description[]
The Sclawk is a spiny red organism about the size of Samus Aran which burrows through the ground, ceiling, or walls, occasionally breaching before diving back underground. They leave a trail of dust as they burrow underground, giving away their position. Until the Wave Beam is acquired, a charged Diffusion Beam is the most effective means of combating Sclawks. After acquiring the Gravity Suit, Samus can instantly kill a Sclawk if she strikes it with a Dash Melee when it surfaces.
The X Parasites later infect Sclawks, but their appearance and attacks do not change. The X also combine Sclawk DNA with Spittail DNA to form the dangerous Spitclawk variant.
