The Screen-Shot Tool is an unlockable feature in the Bonus Gallery for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, New Play Control! Metroid Prime, New Play Control! Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime Trilogy. Once "purchased" with Credits, the feature can be toggled on or off. When on, pressing "up" on the D-Pad takes a picture of the current screen (during gameplay, cutscenes, etc.) and sends it to the Wii Message Board.

Playing the game with widescreen or not at the time the Screen-Shot Tool is used will change the aspect ratio of the image sent. Unlocking this in Metroid Prime Trilogy requires having credits from all three games, but also permits photos in all three games.
